Does anyone else think that it is taking a long time to get scores online for the September 15 test? In the past I have been able to retrieve scores in 7 days or 10 at the most. ACT.org is saying not until October 2. Anyone have any thoughts as to why the time frame is longer? Anyone get different info from ACT?

ACT with Writing takes longer to score than the previous all-multiple-choice ACT.

I know...but I took it in April with writing too and scores were available within 10 days. A friend took in June with writing and also got scores within 10 days! Plus they didn't show writing score right away but multiple choice was available very fast. Just think it is strange that it is taking so long this time.

Re: the September 15 ACT scores. I just went online and now they are saying they will not begin to post the September 15 ACT scores until October 4-6. This is almost three weeks after they were given.

There are a couple of reasons why it will take longer to receive scores from ALL ACT tests from now on. Firstly, ACT updated their website this year allowing people to create accounts and have the scores directly attached to them. This is different from last year and as reported on the new site all scores will now take 2 and a half weeks to be put online starting sept 2007. Secondly, now you do not have to pay eight dollars to view the scores early. Viewing scores is completely free online but the tradeoff is that you must wait longer.

I would rather pay the eight dollars.

"I would rather pay the eight dollars."

ditto

hahaha and now they increased the deadline!

do you realize that online scores are reported in 10 days for other ACT dates?

What if my son didn't do well? He will need to take it again in Oct. I don't mind paying the extra $10 late fee, but don't want to pay the $40 waitlisted fee that begins on the 6th.
