I got accepted into the Haverford fly-in (yay!) and was wondering what it’s like?
I signed up to do an interview there too so I what should I expect? ('ve never done a college interview or any interview for the matter)
If not Haverford then what about other college flyins?
Can you guys tell me your experience with fly-ins/interviews?
Congrats on the fly in! I’m assuming that the interview will be for admissions but try to relax. I’d go and look up their website and find out as much as I can about it. Especially any area of interest you may have as well as look at the classes for your major. Also look at college guides at the library and bookstores to see what they say about the college. Look into college guides about the admissions interview and tips given. But enjoy yourself and relax!
I was also accepted to their fly in as well, I just confirmed my flights with them! I had similar questions as well regarding the interview and the program itself, this is the first fly in I’ve confirmed too. Rejected from Williams, accepted to Washington and Lee (probably gonna decline because further research has got me thinking it may not be the best fit for me and I want someone else to have the oppurtunity!) Applied to like 20 others just to see what could happen(: Haverford is one of my top picks though, love the location and accessibility to UPENN as well.
Congrats to you both! I literally just sent my application in yesterday night. How long did it take for you all to receive your decisions?
Congratulations! I sent in my application a few days ago. I’m also wondering how long it took to receive your decisions. I’m so excited to find out whether I got in or not
I got waitlisted sigh what are my chances of getting in after this point? Do you guys think people will not go?
I got waitlisted as well. However, I did send my application in late. I’m wondering if any spots will actually become available.
Also waitlisted. This is interesting; I never heard of a fly-in with a waiting list before haha. Also wondering if spots really will open up.
I got accepted to the Swarthmore fly-in and attended last week, it was an awesomeeeee experience!! You are generally hosted by a current student and stay in their dorm for the duration of the program, and during your time there you will get to meet the admissions office, professors on campus through the classes you shadow, as well as interview with a senior student at the school. The interview is generally very chill, so don’t stress!!
Has anyone heard back about a spot opening up for waitlisted students?
