Having hard time to choose classes (computer science student).

Does IGETC class choices matter when transferring?

Right now I’m a CCC freshman, trying to transfer to one of the UC and some CSU with Computer Science major.
My top choice is UCB and they require IGETC, same with UCLA. As the IGETC requires 3 social science and 3 art classes I’m wondering if it is strange if I took random classes irrelevant to my major such as Early Childhood Education or something like that to complete IGETC requirements?

To sum up: Does it matter if I took random classes for IGETC 3 Social science and 3 Art requirement?

They don’t care but UCB needs three courses to graduate: American institutions/gov’t; U.S. History; and an American Cultutres/diversity course. These will all fulfill IGETC in social science or humanities. Try to add those and kill two birds with stone.
