I'm going to be a high school senior starting in the fall of 2012. I have done well in high school, with a regular GPA of 3.95, core GPA of 3.92 and a weighted GPA of 4.63. I also scored a 2020 on my SATs which I was particularly happy about. I want to get into UC Berkeley which I know will be difficult even with my GPA and SATs, but I also have a myriad of ECs including Youth in Government/We the People, Choir, Choir Council, NHS and various other choirs, theatre programs, and clubs.
So here's my problem:
My current schedule is as follows:
0: Choir 7-8
1: AP Calculus BC
2: Choir 5-6
3: Honors Exercise Physiology
4: AP United States Gov/ AP Macroecon
5: Lunch
6: AP Human Geography
7: AP English Literature

I've heard that it's important for schools like Berkeley to take Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Is this true? My freshman year I took a mandatory introductory science course, then the next two years I took Biology then Chemistry. I previously signed up for AP Environmental Science thinking since it's an AP course it'd make up for the fact that I'm not taking physics, but it conflicted with Choir, which I am not willing to compromise, so I am now enrolled in Honors Ex Phys. I chose this class instead of Physics because I HATE science and Honors Ex Phys is a relatively easy course, also Physics is one of the hardest courses allowed at my school. At this point I'm stumped; do I stick to this schedule? or do I suck it up and take Physics? I'm honestly also considering not taking a science at all... would it hurt me if I took AP European History instead? I'm much more interested in history and social studies than I am in science, ESPECIALLY physics...
Let me know what you guys think!
