Having trouble on Reading section

When I take the Reading portion of the test, I think that the test makers are insane for making us read 4 passages and answer 40 questions in 35 minutes. When I try my best, I can read a passage and answer its questions in 10-11 minutes, which leaves 3-4 minutes for the last passage.

How can I answer all the questions within 35 minutes?

Respond if you see this. -_-

Don’t read, skim.

Do you read the passage then do the questions?

If yes, then tell me how much time you spend on your reading and how much answering the questions. Also, when you answer the questions, do you have to go back and look at the passage often? I just want to know if the problem is your reading speed or if you are answering the questions too slow. I have different advices for each type of person.

By the way, try to limit yourself to 3 1/2 minutes for reading and 4 1/2 minutes answering the questions. This is what I called the 3.5/4.5 rule. First, don’t do the whole section first. Do passage by passage. Once you get the speed and achieve the 3.5/4.5 rule, do the whole section.

I spend about 4-5 minutes reading and 5-6 on questions.

Lol in my first practice test I took 60 minutes on the reading section… lmao

I’m down to like 9.5 minutes per section, which ISN’T GOOD ENOUGH!!! I wish I could answer all questions without referring back to the passage

If you’re taking the ACT this Saturday my advice won’t be much help, but otherwise just read a lot. It’s the best way to make it happen.

I completely read the whole passage and do the questions. I do the questions fairly quickly, and I am a moderately fast reader, so maybe that helps?

Sorry for the late reply…i am going to send you some tips through private message :)

Read the questions first then go to the passage.
