HBCU or #15

As an AA male, would there be better recruiting options as Boston College CSOM or Morehouse College. I am not sure about the difficulty of each program but I would assume that BC is harder. I have my eyes set on an MBA or MBA/JD program also.

well as an asian, i was skeptical about going to a white school like BC. i would visit the campus. Howard and morehouse is recruited cause companies need black people(not being racist) but morehouse i believe is all male and black school. more importantly it is a all male school. i would visit, evaluate money and etc. i think BC is more well known but morehouse might be just as well recruited.(relatively)
in my opinion pick BC
better academics
better reputations
has girls
better representation of real world
better sports
better city
better overall

Well, I understand where you are coming from but...
1.Morehouse is right next to Spelman(another heavily recruited HBCU) so the all male thing is not that big of a deal.
2.The representation of the real world is pretty biased at BC because it is extremely expensive, Jesuit, and Caucasian.
3.Atlanta has better weather than Boston despite the recent tornadoes.
4.Morehouse from what I have read on Vault seems to be the place to go for diversity whereas BC is where you get grandfathered in. (Unfortunately, my grandfather didn't work for GS or JPMC)

So, would blending in at a place like BC (where I didn't get into honors) be worse than being at the top of Morehouse?

I'd recommend you choosing Morehouse. Obviously I'm slightly biased because my top choice is Spelman. I believe everyone on this site is going to be biased because the majority of people aren't African-American, and many don't understand how great Morehouse is.
I believe you should choose Morehouse because:
1) It is the second best HBCU in the US. I think you can guess which one I'd rank first.
2) They build an amazing bond between men of Morehouse, and women of Spelman.
3)The academics at BC aren't better, Morehouse grads, and Spelman grads are continuously the black students who make it into HYP grad schools. This can be looked up on these students profiles. At yale every black student whose profile I viewed went to either Spelman or Morehouse.
4)No there aren't girls, BUT Spelman has plenty of girls, and if you prefer dating girls of your own race then you'd be in a better situation at Morehouse. You'd not only see girls from Spelman but girls from Clark Atlanta as well. If you don't like girls of your race there is always Emory. Don't forget Spelman is across the street.Literally. They hang out together on the strip. You will also be assigned a Spelman "sister" at orientation who will become either 1. a great friend or 2. a girlfriend. They reccommend keeping it on the friend level though...its better for the long term or you won't be brother/sister long.
5)BC isn't a better representation of the real world. I currently attend a Jesuit Prep School. It is a group of conservative, rich, white kids. Not that this is bad, but if I had to pick I'd rather be around a more liberal, upper middle class, group of like minded African-Americans. I can attend a predominately white law school. First I need to understand my races history, culture, and people.
6) Morehouse has helped many successful black men do this. Martin L. King for example. He went to morehouse. Then a predominately white grad school, and was extremely successful.
7) hmmm...BC has better sports....but culture wise I think you'd enjoy Morehouse better. They have better food, places for black men to get their hair cut, black women, MARCHING BAND(in the HBCU sense), black sororities and fraternities...something Jesuit schools DON'T have.
8)Atlanta is the better city. It is hotter therefore you won't be walking to school in 2 ft of snow. Plus racial wise Atlanta is a better city for African Americans. There is a reason it is considered the black mecca.
--My opinion is pick MOREHOUSE!!! Hopefully I'll see you there when I make it to Spelman.
The hbcu experience is an experience every black student should go through. Yes you'll have to live around other races when you graduate but at least you'll have learned that you are a man of morehouse. you can deal with anything. that is what morehouse teaches you. BC will teach you to be a strong citizen in society. Morehouse will teach you to be a strong black male functioning in a predominately white society.--
