<p>Kind of surprising that the Catholic schools do not rate higher given how many of them there are. I guess all the good ones except HC decided to become universities.</p>
<p>The website says that the grant is "administered in cooperation with up to fifty outstanding private colleges and universities throughout the United States." Participation is not strictly limited to LAC's (see CalTech, Rice, etc.), though I believe that a school must have something like <4000 undergrads to participate. I don't recall where I've seen that number.</p>
<p>Anyway, it's an issue of eligibility.</p>
