Hi, I am currently a high school junior trying to decide between two major choices. The first one that I am looking is taking foreign studies/ global studies and have a concentration in health. Then, the second choice is to have a public/international/community health major and go on from that. Overall, I want to attend grad school in the future most likely being more in depth into a concentration in public health. I am honestly not sure which way I want to go. So, if anyone has any ideas, suggestions or questions I will answer. Thank you!
Can’t you wait to choose until you start college and take a few classes? Normally it’s just general ed classes for at least the first yr.
It won’t matter which one you choose for an advanced degree in public health. I agree with philbegas in that you should take some classes in your first year of college and make a decision then. There will be considerable overlap in your classes in each major, too, especially if you choose international health. (Also, keep in mind that many colleges don’t have a public health/community health/international health major.)
