Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA)

Has anyone heard of this club/organization and have more information about it?

It sounds kind of interesting, and I am thinking about starting it at my school, but I have no clue where I should start.

Thanks.

We have it at my school. I am not involved, but they do the usual club stuff (fundraising, service hours, etc) and the members have rotations in the local hospital. At my school it is done throught and affiliated with a health services class (I am unsure whether the hospital rotations are through the class or club). All I know for sure is that this is the only club that takes their club seriously at my school.

Yeah, we have that at the part-time technical school that I attend. I personally am not involved in HOSA, as I'm not in the school's Allied Health program. I'm in SkillsUSA for technical school students though, Secretary of the school.

Hey i go to a medically based high school in which HOSA and Latin Club is like life. Our HOSA Bowl teams have been first at nationals for three years in a row or sumtin now.

Go to www.Hosa.org and you'll find information on who is the state leaders and how to become affiliated. basically aside from the community service and whatever your chapter decides to do the main part is the competitions which you can also find out more about on the website.
