hear back from ucf summer 2012?

whatever seems to be your highest is what they will look at so i don’t think it’ll really affect your decision

They will look at both but your SAT score is really good and your 22 ACT score is still in the range for Summer.

My GPA on UCF’s scale it’s 3.2

i have over 500 community service hours and a strong essay.

anyone have any idea what kind of decision i should be expecting??

I applied mid September and still waiting

You should expect a decision anytime now. I am in the same boat.

I got accepted!!! SUMMER 2012
3.99 Weighted 3.3 Unweighted 3.5 recalculated
1040 (510 R 530 M) 23 ACT
Lots of extracurriculars
This should give people a lot of hope!!!

How do you know what your UCF recalculated gpa is?

mattzobel Congrats!!! When did you apply? We are gonna have a heart attack if we keep reading the same message!!! lolololol

CONGRATS  SO exciting!!! are you out of state by any chance?

I applied July 5th, the day the app came out. I checked every day and nothing changed. I am not out of state. I happened to be at the UCF campus on Friday and they called to return my call asking for my recalculated GPA. They wouldn’t give it to me on phone do I walked over to admissions and talked to someone. They said my recalculated was a 3.5, just a little lower than my high school core GPA. They told me they had AP Psych and English for dual enrollment on my application. I took AP US HISTORY and she said it wasnt on the application so she went back to my transcript and found it!!! She said she would change it on Monday do I checked this morning and I was accepted!!!
Everyone should call and make sure this hasn’t happened and that they have a record of all your APs because I think that’s what got me in and I got lucky

If I got in, you all should

Yeah I believe UCF ad a lot of other colleges look at IB and AP more closely than DE

Guys, do you know if they have access to the SAT/ ACT scores even if you dont send both of them?

i hope so matt! and if you are in state i heard they are automatically on your transcript

Overcome- they got my ACT scores without me sending them. I had to send out SAT though

sorry, but what does that mean that they are automatically in the transcript? My D for example retook the SAT October 1rst. We sent the scores to UCF the same night the results came, and I just checked the college board site and it says “the order is pending”?!??! what does that mean?! :(

I had friends who did the same thing for the October Sat scores. They normally take a week to get to the college so I think it’ll be fine :)

Yeah SAT scores took about 12 days for mine to process. And I heard that if you are in state, your high school puts them on your transcript that gets sent to schools and are considered official copies.

I applied the beginning of August for summer:
GPA: 3.9 weighted
ACT: 24
Lots of ECs.
still haven’t heard anything yet.

Hi Congrats to all who got in!

I was supposed to take the October ACT, however, something came up and I was unable too. I spoke to a friend of mine and said I needed to email UCF to let them know, because they haven’t even looked at anyone’s application if they claimed they were going to take the October test is that true?

I have a 24 ACT
3.8 weighted GPA
300 hours of Community Service…

Did anyone email UCF admissions if so when do they reply?

I’m curious about that, too. I know I said I would be taking the ACT in december-I’m not sure if I clicked the october one, though. I don’t think so, but I could have. Uhg, I hate having a horrible memory.
