I applied as a transfer on January 25th. I sent in all of my transcripts and paperwork. As of 2 weeks ago my online status check had posted the following:

Your application for admission to the University of Florida for the Fall 2012 term has been referred to your college for a final decision. Please refer to the information below to determine whether any additional information is required. If you have sent information to us recently, please allow time for processing.

Does anyone know how long I have to wait to receive an admission decision? I applied to CLAS. Do they pool their applicants or is it rolling admissions?

I hope so. The website said that students will be notified at least 4 weeks after the deadline (March 1st for CLAS). I can’t stand the wait of another whole month. O.O

I heard back last night! Considering I posted this thread two nights ago :D

Good News! I got in!

Congratulations!!! Your application to the University of Florida for the Fall 2012 term has been approved!
Official notification will arrive by mail, including the conditions of your admission as well as important orientation and immunization information.
We look forward to seeing you on campus soon, and welcome you to the Gator Nation!

That was much faster than I expected. I’m so happy.

@Daysi91 what was your GPA…I’m filled out my application for transfer too…I applied to the Rinker School of Building Construction…I’m just trying to see what my chances are

My overall and preprofessional GPA are the same… 3.84. I completed my prerequisite courses for my major last term. And I’m finishing up my AA degree this term.
I would suggest for you to look up the critical tracking for your intended major and make sure you have completed them. Admissions advisor informed me your application will be more competitive if you did.

Is it true that transfers receive prior consideration for acceptance over others…If so, does that same rule apply to limited acceptance program where they only accept like maybe 60 applicants per semester

@DaTruth2477 Are you talking about CC transfers receiving prior consideration before the transfers from 4 year universities? then yes, CC transfers will get prior consideration.

Yea I’m referring to CC transfers over people who are transferring from a university as well as incoming freshman who are applying for a limited access program
