i know it’s really easy to say when you’re on the other side of the fence, and i know i’ll be the same way. but for now there is no relaxing, there is nothing comfortable about this process lol.

Lol trust me it was gut-wrenching 7 weeks. I know how you feel.

Yes, we are 2 hours away from them.
Kyle, what do you think of those stats?

i am so happy that you got accepted though! did you apply to a certain major? and have any dorms interested you particularly

@overcome

Did she take AP and honors or just regular?

@as21

Thank you! I am going into pre-med. I want to be in the Nike dorms. I’m visiting UCF in 3 weeks.

Overcome-Do you know what major she put on her application, or did she choose to go under undecided? I agree with As, I’m either denied or defered. I’m not being negative-Just realistic.

She is taking AP’s and Honors. This year she is taking AP lit and AP Psch, the rest Honors.
Last year she took AP English and passed with a 4. and the rest of classes Honors.

She chose Journalism or media communications. dont quite remember.
Write, no. You are either accpted or defered. After so long, and having rejected your brother, I am hopng they are not rejecting you too.

kyle-- if i’m accepted i would go into pre-med and hopefully nike too! haha

overcome-- personally i think she should have been accepted based on what we’ve seen on here so far, but i have no doubt in my mind that she’ll be admitted once she sends the semester grades in

Hmmm. She is on borderline like I was. Are you guys in-state?

im out unfortunately

Also out-once again, considered in state because of my Florida pre-paid. As, I really hope my essays hit a nerve with them. I think back now, and they could have been better:/

What state are you in as21

We are in state.

Overcome:
I really don’t know why your daughter didn’t get in. I’m kind of stumped.

Just want you to know that two years ago I had two friends whose sons were deferred pending first semester grades.They were bummed because they already were feeling some senioritis and were hoping to get in early and coast through senior year. They worked a bit harder and sent their grades in January and both were admitted about two weeks into February. One is now attending UCF, the other decided to attend UNF in Jacksonville.

Kyle, the story of our lives. lol

PA-- heard they’re one of the top states UCF has on campus

@ seiclan,
My best friend’s daughter also was deferred back in 09 and she got in after she sent her first semester grades in January. Thank you for trying to cheer me up :)

Admissions is just such a confusing matter. I really wish we could read their mind, and know what they were thinking. I’d love an interview-that would be awesome! But obviously, that’s not going to happen.
