Hearing back from UMD, College Park?

<p>late january, the put up the decisions and sent out emails on the 30th or 31st last year.</p>

<p>If they really like your application, your major department will send you a nice handwritten likely letter around the first week in January. My D received her likely letter on January 10, 2010. Good luck to all!!!</p>

<p>I looked online and it says classes start Jan 17. So how could they send out decisions after classes have started?</p>

<p>Spring classes start January 25th. But I don’t see why it would be affected? Are you talking about for transfers?</p>
