<p>Ok, i have my heart set on attending Salve Regina University in Newport, RI. Heres the problem: I'm not sure that I will be accepted.</p>
<p>my academic Stats are:</p>
<p>3.5 gpa, top 25% of a 280 person class
*yet to take SAT, predict 1050-110 </p>
<p>can you give me suggestions on what to do to get the extra edge? the admissions people their advocate strong extracurrics, which i have, and my recommendations and essay are sure to look impressive. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!</p>

<p>Keep up your good work in school, don't fall victim to senioritis. Also, try to do as much SAT prep as you can, buy the Barron's Book and practice what you need to, you may wind up surprising yourself on the test.</p>
<p>I just took the virtual tour on their website - it's got a beautiful campus! I think you are a very strong candidate. If you have a major or majors in mind, try to set up an appointment with a professor to talk about their department, research ops, etc. In other words, show interest. Obviously, do some prep on your SAT's, keep up your grades, that sort of thing.</p>
<p>You will want to apply early action. However - don't make this your first application! Applications tend to get better as you get a few under your belt.</p>
