hello! evaluate me please.

Hi. I'd just like to know if I've got what it takes RD

GPA: 96.8 UW 99.15 W
Rank: 8 or 9 out of 380
SAT: 1430 M/V 700W
SATII: 790,790
ACT: 33 composite, 12 writing
10 AP's including senior year, 5 tests so far: 5,4,4,4,4

Decent EC's with concentration in fine arts.
Essays/Recs: I suppose only JHU's opinion counts.
I am, like many JHU'ers, looking for a bio major, perhaps premed.

thanks in advance.

la la la, just refreshing this post cuz i've had no responses yet.

First of all, premed isn't a major. It's a direction you are going to take with your specified major. From your post, you've only given us numbers. You can see for yourself that you're in Hopkins' range. There really isn't anything else I can say.

Eugh. I apologize for the number jamming, there's already plenty of that to go around, but I've been kinda insecure about my qualifications after being deferred from cornell.

Sorry for the confusion. What I intended in my original post was that I am looking for a bio major, with premed being my track.

As far as the other info,

My extracurricular activities are concentrated in fine arts> exhibits, classes both in school and out, competitions, a few awards, etc.

I've volunteered at some 'medical-related' places, a few hospitals, the red cross, muscular dystrophy association, etc, and some other places that are kinda random as far as my niche is concerned but I just enjoy doing them (museum, park).

My $10 essay- I liked it, but I can't really comment on if it was good or not on the count of that is my own opinion. I'd say generally it'd be anywhere from a 6-9 out of 10. The common essays were pretty decent as well.

I'm submitting some artwork for consideration- don't know if it matters at all but might as well---> could help but probably wouldn't hurt.

that's about all.

did u apply to duke?

yea, but its a symbolic application. I know Duke's a very big stretch for me. I love jhu though as well.

so sup guys

Yeah, you're more than qualified.

There's no advice to give this late in the game. You're a good candidate, and so long as your essays reflected your passions, and you show that you plan to carry those passions though college, you shouldn't need to worry.

College admissions have become so undeterminable. Simply hope for the best, expect the worst. Good luck.

you have a decent shot at jhu

yea great shot
btw j.j. redick = sweet
