Hello I'm New (questions)

Hello, I’m new to this website. The AU board will be the first I’ll post in :-)

This site is kind of confusing as the layout is new to me.

I’m really interested in going to AU but I’m afraid I won’t be able to afford it or that I won’t get in.

I heard that AU is a good sport about scholarships and need-based aid.

I could kick myself for not joining AP History this year. But I also heard AU looks more toward GPA and SAT scores than APs and honors.

I’m afraid my GPA is only average at the moment, but if I have even a slim chance at AU, I’ll work really hard to get my GPA up!

So my questions are, what exactly does AU look for in a student and how
hard is it to get into?

Yes, I would like to know some of these general questions as well

so post up ur stats :-D

Better start researching :-D

My GPA was pretty average (3.5ish weighted, 3.2ish unweighted) and my SATs weren't super good but I took three APs senior year and wrote a good essay, got good recs, and applied ED, and I got accepted and American DEFINITELY took care of me financially...I think they might be a little more generous with the ED kids though. Wow that was a pretty bad run-on sentence, sorry!!
