this may seem like a stupid question but um how do honors work?

Im an international student so dont really know .

i apparently got aerospace eng. but i wanted aero honors. Did you have to apply to the honors program directly or do you apply after a semester into classes or something ?

You apply to the honors program directly, however you can apply at any point in your undergraduate career, contingent upon you having and maintaining a 3.5 GPA.

The honors program allows you to register early and graduate “with honors”, which is perceived as an accomplishment. You will be required to take a certain number of honors courses at every course level (e.g. 100, 200, 300, 400 classes) to graduate “with honors”. In aerospace engineering specifically, usually these honors classes are combined with regular classes, and the honors students will typically only have an additional project or extra homework assignments to do over non-honors students.
