I am crazzzyyy

ok so i know this may seem like a dumb question, but what are the advantages of being in an honors program?
I know about earlier course registration and honors housing(i think?)
other than that what are the academic advantages of being in an honors program?
I've been accepted to Chem Engineering but have not applied for honors programs and would also like to know how one can get in sophomore year.

Thank you for your responses!

Smaller classes is one good advantage. But probably your best advantage, ESPECIALLY since you are an engineering major, is that your honors classes will have a much more generous curve. Honors classes generally only give out A's, B's and a few C's in engineering. Non-honors, well there is a good amount who get D's and F's. As a person who's already completed my freshman level engineering "weed-out" classes, I would have loved being in the honors program because my GPA would be a lot higher.

how to apply for honor program?

i don't think there's an application. you are invited if your sat score is high enough (1250-1300)

I applied to business honors, which the deadline was December 15th or something... I am still waiting back from it.

so if your gpa is high...they will invite you to join?

no you have to apply.... now if you are talking about university honors, I think you maintain a certain GPA... but major specific honors program you have to actually apply and its a selective process.
