What should I do if I don’t want to go to the school I have accepted the admission offer in? I have already paid the deposit; does it create a binding agreement? What should I say to the admission representative?
Are self-funding your studies or did you accept an Assistantship offer? Either way, just tell them. You may lose the deposit but that cannot be helped.
@xraymancs: There is no binding contract, right?
Did you sign one? You did not say whether it is for funding or not but you can certainly just tell them that you withdraw your acceptance.
@xraymancs: I got the 20% scholarship. There was a form for acceptance that I signed and paid the deposit. The form only stated that “I intend to enroll …”
Does that make a binding contract?
@LizzieElizabeth: I am not postponing my plan to do masters. I have been admitted to several colleges and now I have changed my mind and want to attend another university instead. So I need to withdraw my acceptance from this one.
It is not binding, what can they do to you? Take away the scholarship you don’t want anymore? Just tell them soon.
