HELP! Applying to grad school

<p>I am currently a junior, and I'm applying to UAB's graduate school for Fall 2012. I know the absolute latest deadline for this application is January 31, 2012 (stated on their website), but when is the EARLIEST I can/should apply? I have heard that early application get an advantage, but I'm not sure how early.</p>

<p>I forgot to mention that my field is immunology, if that helps. Also i’ll be going straight into a phD program (skipping masters)</p>
