i agree with above.

Stephie, your e.c.'s are quite exemplary. But your SAT's are your downfall. For Ivies, 2200 is the average.

Perhaps if you have like a really...'unique' talent or connections or a lot of money, the Ivies are possible.

I'm sure you'll get into a good college. Don't listen to those who say 'community college'. That's below your league.

A Famous rapper, who goes by the name of Kanye West once said,

"Now I could let these dream killers kill my self-esteem
Or use my arrogance as the steam to power my dreams"

You go figure..
The application costs about $60 I presume. If Princeton and Columbia are your dream schools, and a mere $60 is the price to try your chances of being accepted...why would you let someone(off the internet) that you don't even know stop you from applying? Go ahead and apply, have confidence in your applications, and meanwhile, apply to other schools that may interest you as well, especially safeties.

Stephie-

I realize people have been harsh on you on this forum. But, your guidance counselors might have a better perspective on your situation. Some schools have certain circumstances, and students get in more easily to the Ivy League and such schools.

I would consider applying to all the schools your counselors suggest...but in case you are wrong, do apply to a true safety so you end up going to college for sure.

I wish you all the luck...and FYI, a fair number of the people here are high school students (like myself) or equally clueless parents. While they may have a fairly good idea of how admissions work, very few of the people who post here really are "experts"...that is if there are any experts on something like college admissions in the first place.

Hello again, seems like my thread has actually generated some decent answers and some controversy! Yes, once again i'm applying to safety schools... I am not gonna rephrase my reasons for being confident, i'm tired of typing--yes i know Ivy League schools are a bit of a reach-- and it seems thats only because of SAT scores, i have a lot to offer that SATs cant gage, and thats not because i'm "stupid", since SATs dont actually test you on anything i would deem relevant. But anyways, once again thanks for some of the comments, judging by this thread i don't think anyone has the capacity of scoring that average CC 2100, and by the way i'm enjoying my lofty cloud!

Cool, now enough arguments..
