HELP! Biochem transfer student for SFSU or my waitlist options of CSU Long Beach or UCSD??

I really can’t decide since it’s about the same # of upper division units needed to get my degree wherever I transfer to except I live closest to SF…also UCSD & SFSU require me to take another physics class. I could easily do that at a local cc and commute to SF for a cheaper price.
Long Beach was my first choice but I am waitlisted and my mom wants me to stay home and commute to SF.

What should I do? I won’t know my waitlist status until after the deadline to accept SFSU’s offer ends.

I’d accept the offer at SFSU as well as the waitlist offer, then rescind your SIR to SFSU if you get into either of the waitlist schools. That’s how it usually works with waitlists anyway.

@DoctorP
I thought once I accept that was it and I had to go to that school I chose.
The orientation is coming up next month so I really don’t have time to hear back from wait list.

Would it really be all that bad to go to a local CSU? I just feel like going to the more prestigious schools betters the chance of a job

@ForeIN Nah, if you get accepted somewhere else off the waitlist you can go there. You just lose your SIR deposit money. SIR to SFSU and attend orientation, tons of my friends go there, it’s a dope school…if you get off either waitlist, great for you and you get to choose again, but even if you don’t you’ll definitely have a great time in the world’s best city. As a bay native i can tell you that that commute’s gonna suck though

@DoctorP
Good to know :slight_smile:

I’ve lived in the Bay all my life so I wanted a change with SoCal but I mostly stay in the 510 so SF should be interesting! Most likely I’ll go to SFSU caz I don’t wanna waste my deposit $ and risk not being able to get classes if I’m finally off the wait list.

I hope I meet cool ppl and make new friends
