So, in terms of finance/investment banking should I go CMU (tepper) or Bentley University (honors progarm)? Or Babson? (Most likely I'd go to one of the first two)
Please help!

Is cost an issue?

^no, about the same.

Carnegie Mellon! Great options, but definitely lean towards CMU.

I agree CMU definitely.

what’s better for finance/i-banking though?

Call me bias, but I say CMU.

I don’t know if you’re from Massachusetts, but Bentley and Babson are often mentioned in the same breath as similar business-oriented schools. I would put Bentley slightly ahead and after spending significant time at Babson (summer camp), I personally would not want to go there.

Considering you’re in the Honors program at Bentley, I would unscientifically say it’s slightly better for finance/I-banking than Tepper just because I know people who have gone there and had great success in that area. However, I also got into Tepper and I didn’t even apply to either Bentley or Babson, and if I were in your position, I would attend CMU because I greatly prefer CMU as a whole university to Bentley or Babson, and because Tepper is still fantastic and you will still have amazing opportunities in finance if you go there.

The differences are very small in the specific programs, I think. My advice is go wherever you would be happier.

how difficult is it to earn a respectable g.p.a at Tepper? What’s the workload like and what types of classes are required?
Thanks for all the help everyone :)

I spent the weekend with engineers and scs so this might be biased, but they say tepper kids all get 3.8-3.9s because their classes are a joke.

HSS classes are a joke- they are how to raise your gpa if you’re in CIT or SCS.
Workload or level of difficulty seriously ridiculous-- my high school AP classes were harder than the HSS classes I’ve had.

I am in econ now–totally a breeze.
