Harvey Mudd's campus is apparently kinda small and unappealing in that sense (though you got the other claremont's and LA right there). It arguably has the best engineering of those schools though.

I hear at JHU you can't walk on the grass and all the buildings look the same. I dunno, probably bs.

Columbia seems to only have one patch of grass, since i keep seeing it in every picture they send me.

I know you want to narrow your list, but if campus beauty and engineering are you only factors, cornell probably wins hands down.

JHU. I've been hearing even from JHU fans that it isn't that great of a school. The campus for example leaves much to be desired...a lot of students don't even live on campus after the first year...talk about cohesive :/

Columbia's campus is pretty. It's very urban (obviously) but still nice, although I did visit in late April when the weather was gorgeous so I may have a slightly skewed take on it. Depends on whether or not you want to be in New York City. As for the engineering program, I have no idea.

I would nix JHU if i HAD to pick one. Harvey Mudd has the best academics of the three, and depending on what you like Columbia has the best campus.

What? Definitely not. Harvey Mudd is probably second only to MIT and possibly berkeley/stanford/caltech. I actually heard the Fu Foundation wasn't as good as the rest of columbia.

How is Columbia's CS AI & Robotics?
I hear it's pretty strong, but I don't know why I don't see Columbia in the undergraduate computer engineering usnews ranks,,,
