HELP!! chances

Hi everyone. Hope you can help me out. I applied to Emory ED II. Here are my stats:

SAT 640 V, 710 M, 670 W
SAT II 600 US History, 700 Math 2, took Chemistry
GPA ~3.9 weighted/3.7 uw (at my school you have to get a 90% to get an A- does Emory recalculate GPAs because if they did my GPA would be much higher)
Senior year 2 APs, 2 college courses at local Penn State campus
Took about 10 honors classes throughout high school.
ECs
2 years of school basketball, quit after my parents got divorced to get a job to help my mom out- I work 10-20 hours/week
Completed research at Air Products
Marine Fitness Team
NHS, Spanish Honor Society, Commended student in the National Merit Program
Peer Tutor
Youth Group
Those are my main activities the rest really aren't important.

Also, what do you guys think about the other schools I'm applying to:
(accept/reject/waitlist)

U of Rochester
Brandeis
PSU
Any other suggestions are more than welcome! I want to go for chem/bio possibly premed or prevet. Thanks!!!!!!

I applied to Emory ED1 and my stats look almost exactly like yours. I've been told by just about everyone that it's a "far reach" just going by the numbers, but there's a glimmer of hope, who knows. I find out sometime after Dec 15 and I'll let you know how it goes.

I don't know about U Rochester but I'd say Brandeis and PSU are good matches for you.

Goood Luck !!!

i think the fact that you work 10-20 hours a week says a lot about your character. that's a good thing! I think you have a good shot at Emory if you can write a good and interesting essay

muchas gracias!
