Hi, I'm a rising senior in Long Island, NY, and I'm hoping to drop Chem...

I've taken:
Regents Bio - 2 Years
AP Physics - 1 Year

I'm Taking
AP Bio - 1 Year
Regents Chem - 1 Year

I'm already eligible for ADVANCE REGENTS DIPLOMA, but my concern is that, once after I apply for colleges, will colleges see that I DIDN'T take CHEM, thus minimizing my chance to get in colleges of my choice?

If I didn't take chem, would this stop me (minimize my chances) from majoring in Chem-related majors?

by "not taking chem", are you talking about the class or the regents at the end of the class? if u mean the regents, u might as well take it cause its so easy if you've taken the class
you really should take a chemistry class... its like a HS requirement.
and what do you mean you have had 2 years regents bio, isnt it only a one year course?

o wait, do u mean that by "not taking chem" ur talking about AP Chem? oh that makes more sense. ok well if thats what u meant, im sure it wont matter much, as long as u took regents chem. i mean its good and all, but now you'll just have to take a chem class in college

well, im talking about the chem REGENTS, thats why its so irritating...im stuck w/ unknown 10-11th grade kids...and it's really boring...i really wish to take more classes and drop chem...=

well, you can do what you want, though it might hurt a lot if applying to a chem-major college. my personal recommendation is to take the class. regents chem is very easy and it should be alright. if youre taking lots of APs, and you need the free period then i guess u can drop it, but otherwise i'd really suggest you take it
