this is what i'm going to be taking in 9th (I just got out of 8th)

I'm wanting to become a orthopedic surgeon mostly because you get to help people and make money at the same time who would want that.

Any suggestions, I know that high school classes don't really affect much and college is the biggy, but is there something I should take instead of whats above?

Don’t split Spanish. Take Spanish 3 your junior year, because if you don’t and take it Senior year, you’ll regret it big time. You will have a year off and forget how to say/do a lot of technique you learned in 1 & 2. Take it from me who had to watch my boyfriend do it and struggle the entire time and end with a B, where he could have easily gotten an A if he had taken it right after Spanish 2.

Another tip, Junior year is HARD (I just finished, trust me.) I had the same core classes as you. All AP/PAP except I had Anatomy not Chem. My best friend just graduated and took Chem 2 AP her junior year and said it was the worst possible decision. It’s hard to devote 3+ hours a week to labs and extra AP work for a higher science class when you are in APUSH. APUSH is all reading, and she said that both those classes almost killed her junior year. As I can see, you are involved in Debate and Band, so if you plan on marching and going to competitions for both, I would suggest re-thinking that Junior schedule.

Also, I really hope you mean Physics PAP, or else you can kiss any type of free time/social life away, PhysAp, Chem AP, and APUSH in one year sounds like being pushed out of a plane with out a parachute to me, but hey just my opinion.

If you are taking these AP classes to try and get ahead in college, please know that it will only get you behind in Medical School. I’m about to begin applying to colleges and just went on several visits where almost every Admissions Counselor I spoke with told me this (I am going to major in biomedical sciences and go to med school to become a pediatrician, as well). You will take the AP test, if your prepared get a 3/4/5, claim the credit once you get to college and skip those classes, then when you get to med school or even microbio or Chem 3 in undergrad, you won’t have a solid COLLEGE taught basic Chem or Bio foundation. So if you’re taking these classes to get ahead, don’t! Have fun in high school, you won’t ever get these 4 years back. Don’t be drowning in course work when you could be enjoying yourself with your band or debate friends.

You’re only a freshman, so you have a long time to change this. But I applaud you for thinking ahead, unlike most of your peers.

Do you really want to take AP Chemistry and AP Physics the same year?
Like the above person said, you can’t place out of regular Chemistry in college with AP for pre-med. You either have to take an honors Chemistry or re-take chemistry.
I would recommend only one AP science at a time
