Help choosing colleges - International Relations Major - SMU/UCSD/UW-Seattle

I’ve gotten all of my college acceptances back and I’m currently deciding between SMU, UCSD (Eleanor Roosevelt College), and UW-Seattle. I’m planning on majoring in International Relations and I currently live in Houston, Texas. I was just wondering if anyone could describe things like campus life, the quality of the IR major at each school, or any general advice/descriptions that could make it easier to decide which school to go to. I’m going to be visiting each of these schools within April for an admitted student tour so I’ll be able to form a bit of an opinion about them myself, but I want as much information as possible so that I can set myself up for success. I’m somewhat interested in greek life, i want to study abroad, i want a lively campus with school spirit, and i want to go to school in a city. Lastly if anyone has any information on whether the IR major is impacted at any of these schools I would like to know that as well. Thank you so much for your help!

(I’ve already ruled these out but i also got into LSU, UGA, UW-Madison, OU, and I got waitlisted at Tulane. I wouldn’t mind info/advice about any of these schools either.)

SMU is very preppy. 68% are white.

UW is not preppy. There is big school spirit. 41% are white. University District is lively and quirky. Two light rail stations away from downtown Seattle.

UCSD is not preppy. I heard there is very little school spirit (anecdotal). 20% are white.

I’m biased toward UW because I live very close by. I was there just yesterday visiting the quad covered with beautiful cherry blossoms!

I’m sorry I cannot help you with the IR strength of each school. If you have lived in Texas all your life, you will experience a totally different culture at UW and UCSD.

I hope you will have a good idea of the life on campus when you visit each school. Good luck!
