Hi--

I'm currently looking to transfer to a school in the New England area (much closer to home), preferably within about two hours of Boston. I'm looking for a school with a good reputation in Communications or, specifically, Public Relations. I definitely want a school that has its own television studios, editing labs, etc., because I've really enjoyed learning the production aspects of my major so far.

High School:
-Private, small high school (210 in my graduating class)
-3.5 GPA, took several AP and honors classes
-extras: campus ministry, orientation leader & student ambassador, feature editor of school newspaper, volunteer work (98 hours senior year), varsity tennis, jv track (3 years)
-outside of school: wrote articles for local newspaper about my school, worked at cold stone creamery (2+ years)

Current College:
-freshman at Elon University, NC; JCM Fellows Program
-3.463 GPA
-planning to formally declare strategic communication major
-classes taken in first semester: Mass Comm. in a Global Age, Italian I, The Global Experience, Public Speaking, and Contemporary Wellness Issues
-winter/spring classes: Ins and Outs of the Entertainment Business, Media Writing, Media Convergence, Psychology I, and Statistics in Application
-extras: FreshTV program (learned basic production techniques), PRSSA, involved in production of new show being produced on campus called "Newsbreakers", will probably get involved in Pheonix14 news when we return to school

I'm thinking about applying to Emerson, Northeastern, and BU, but would like some other schools not located specifically in the city. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help!
