I got into UW for pre-engineering and Purdue for Computer Engineering. I am having a tough time choosing as UW does not guarantee the engineering major while Purdue is a sure shot, but it's far away(I live in Cali). Any help?

extremely difficult to get into the computer engineering program at UW. See this link [Engineering Department Admission Statistics | www.engr.washington.edu](http://www.engr.washington.edu/curr_students/admissions/admitstats.html)
I am a UW grad and many of my friends children did not get into the engineering schools for next year.
Did you get into CalPoly? – if so, go there.
Purdue is an excellent school, but need to fly to Chicago and take a train to Purdue. There are no commercial flights into Purdue area.
I would go to any school with a direct admit. They all teach essentially the same things because of accreditation requirements.
