help college choice

<p>I plan on studying econ with either math or engineering, that is still to be decided. I was jsut wondering if you guys could help me with my colelge choice. I want to have strong education in these fields and hopefully be able to get into Ibanking afer graduation.</p>

<p>Here is my college list for the moment being ( I'm gonna need more safeties/matches. If youc an add some to the lsit I would really appreciate it)</p>

<p>if CA -> Berkeley
if Texas -> McCombs Honors Program</p>

<p>Indiana also has a great program I think</p>

<p>I'd add Dartmouth and Columbia to those lists, Brown and Cornell too.</p>

<p>I mean, those are tough schools to get into, most of them</p>

<p>Colgate, Elon, Villanova, and BC are not heavily recruited, though the rest are to some degree at least.</p>

<p>actually I'm an international. No I know I'm not gonna aplly to all those, but I've got make some sort of list from where I can choose.</p>

<p>The thing is I'm trying to add some colleges that are a bit more on the safety/match side, so even though I'd love columbia I think I already have a lot of reaches on my list.</p>

<p>you list all these impossible to get into schools, and then Elon?
If you think you even have the slightest chance at Penn, UVA, Stanford. Princeton, etc., then forget about elon.</p>

<p>I'm trying to list safeties and reaches tec. I'm an international so I'm also considering that as a factor. My gpa w is 4.13 (ranked 3/100) Full IB diploma. sat 1- 800CR 740M 730W; ECs are ok; so in the end my chances at those great schools might be slim as well so I wanted to add some schools that are more likely to accept me. But if you can think of any other schools that could be a good addition to my list I would deeply appreciate it.</p>

<p>I had a slightly higher rank and GPA and a slightly lower SAT with good ECs and a full IB Diploma but still got rejected from UPenn just to show an indicator.</p>

<p>Try Lehigh. Very good engineering and business programs.</p>

<p>Lehigh sucks for internationals asking for finaid.</p>

<p>megaman123, if you are not applying for finaid and want a safety, drop Elon off your college list, and either add Boston University or just keep Lehigh University.</p>
