Need Help

I've changed my mind so much, but I think I am finally set on what I want to do. I'm going to major in Finance. I should have about a 3.5 GPA with around a 1270 SAT(hopefully, have to wait for May SATs and 2 more weeks of school). I'm looking for a good school for business with great career resources. I'd like to go into financial research probably but I am not sure. If you could give me some ideas, I've already done a lot of research about Indiana.

Here's a few schools i'd look at...

REACH
University of Michigan–Ann Arbor *
University of Florida (Warrington) *
U. of North Carolina–Chapel Hill (Kenan-Flagler) *
University of Virginia (McIntire) *
Univ. of Southern California (Marshall)

MATCH
University of Texas–Austin (McCombs) *
U. of Illinois–Urbana-Champaign *
Univ. of Maryland–College Park (Smith) *
Univ. of Wisconsin–Madison *
University of Washington *
Pennsylvania State U.–University Park (Smeal) *

SAFETY
Ohio State University–Columbus (Fisher) *
Indiana University–Bloomington (Kelley) *
Purdue Univ.–West Lafayette (Krannert) (IN) *

What if I end up with a 3.3 GPA will a lot of the matches move up to reaches?

UVA, UFL and UNC arent gonna happen, especially out of state.
I'd say alot of the matches look pretty good for you. Indiana is a great choice too. Great education, although it's too greek/alcohol happy for me.

Ya, that worries me JPod.

What about Mass. schools? Join me at BU :)

Dude, forget BU. come to USC

Yes, i'm sure he'd love to go cross-country! /sarcasm

Why not go cross country? i am

because it's a hassle

Dude, living close to home is a hassle

You need a buffer zone (preferably over 1000 miles)

BU is my number one choice right now. I'm trying to find schools that if I don't get into BU that I would like to go to school at.

A 3.3 GPA would make all those matches reaches, and those safeties matches.

Why Boston U if you're looking at Finance? They aren't even in the top 25 for Finance. However, I strongly suggest fit for your UG school, even if it means going to one that may not be as strong in your subject.

I love Boston. I'm doing a summer program this year there to see if it really is my number one choice.

And I live in Georgia just to let you guys know and I would prefer to go to a more liberal-minded school.

bump it up

bump it up again, I'd appreciate some more opinions, thanks

again sorry

Would University of Minnesota be a match?

With a 3.5, Minnesota would be a safety. With a 3.3, it'd be a match.
