Help - college interviewer is late?

You do have my sympathies though. I can only imagine how you were all ready for the interview, not even to get a phone call.

Here’s hoping he calls tonight to reschedule.

@1NJParent @skieurope @bjkmom @bogeyorpar He replied to my email. Thankfully there was no emergency; he said he put it in his calendar as Thursday by accident. Feels awful about it, offered to reschedule.

@sciencenerd123 Glad it worked out. Good luck.

Thanks. You’d think a doctor would know how to use a calendar though :)). It’s all good; it’ll make a funny story someday I guess. I probably should’ve left earlier than the one hour mark lol.

I’m so glad it worked out.

And figure that this could be a plus; he’s probably more inclined to see you as gracious about all this.

Pull up the email in which he scheduled the interview and then reply to it (so he can see the time that was scheduled). Write something like. “I’m sorry we missed each other. Can we reschedule this interview? Thanks.”

@SMMom1 Already did. He replied. See post #21. Thanks, though!

My d got stood up by her Cornell interviewer last year. It is definitely stressful getting all prepped and psyched up for an interview, only to have the person not show up. Yours was worse than hers, because you had to wait and wonder. (In our case, the interviewer scheduled the meeting at a place where she works, so the folks at the desk were able to tell us up-front that she had left and wasn’t coming back.) On the plus side, handling it graciously is a great way to make a good impression. Hope the redo goes well

Closing thread as the situation is resolved.
