I got an email from a college alumnus asking me if I wanted to schedule an interview with him. I replied back the next day with possible dates when we could meet. He responded to that email, but hasn't replied to the one I sent after that. In fact, it's been almost two weeks since his last email to me.

I sent a follow-up email asking if he received my other messages yesterday.
What should I do if he doesn't respond by Monday? Call the admissions office? I'm really interested in this college and would love to have interview if at all possible.

I would give until a week from the last email you sent, and then contact the admissions office. Monday is a little hasty, because it might have been that your last email was caught in a spam filter or simply missed (I had an interviewer read my email, plan to respond to it, and never did-- she apologized when we later met after I sent a follow-up email). Most schools don’t require reports to be in until late Feburary, so I’d wait a week, or at the least, until Wednesday or so.

So you think I should give it another week?

I’m just unsure what this particular college’s policies on interviews are. I know a lot of schools want reports in by late February, but for some the deadline is sooner and I’m worried that I might miss it.

I’ve had several other interviews so far and while many alumni take several days to respond, I haven’t encountered this problem before.

No doubt the interviewer is a busy person.

Send him an email … suggest some (new) dates and times. Then wait 3-4 days. And send him another reminder email.

I don’t advise that you escalate to admissions.

I have sent him another email, with suggestions for new dates and times My question is, what should I do if he doesn’t respond to that one?

If he doesn’t respond to that within the next three to four days, call the admissions office and explain you’ve tried to re-establish contact two weeks apart. But like I said earlier, definitely wait past Monday.
