Hey everyone,

I have a cousin who lives close to me, who has a roommate who graduated from Tufts. I've never met the roommate, but apparently he is eager to conduct an alumni interview with me. He has never done an interview before. Does he have to sign up for something with Tufts? Is there a big procedure he has to go through?

Yes, he does have to sign up with Tufts beforehand. And the interviews are assigned by an alumni interviewer coordinator -- you can't just pick who interviews you or vice-versa.

Taap.tufts.edu! That's where the sign up is. Signing up to do interviews is for winners!

Lolabelle is correct.
Moreover, the cousin's roommate's objectivity is questionable. If you want to be interviewed, just ask the Admissions Office to set up a TAAP interview for you. Similarly, if the roommate's cousin wants to be a TAAP interviewer, s/he should sign up to do that in a formal way that will yield objective interviews.

Hmm... I seemed to have missed a line in the original post. He wouldn't interview you. He can interview, certainly, but requesting specific applicants is not possible.

The procedure to interview is small, though.
