I just finished the psat practice test from CB. I got a 64 in CR :( , 80 in Math, and a 78 in Writing.

I only got 1 sentence completion wrong and the rest were from the passages. What tactic works for you when it comes to the passages? My strategy is reading the entire short passage and reading part by part for the longer passages. This seems to not be working good for me. How can i improve. I have the entire day tomorrow. THANKS

Terrible. You got a 222 on the PSAT practice exam? New York's cuttoff is usually 232, so you still have a long ways to go if you expect to qualify for the national merit. NYC kids these days...

A 222 is already a good score. It looks as though you're already at that NM score level and all it depends on is how well you do under pressure this wednesday or saturday.

I read it through fast once to get the gist of the passage and then I go back and read the context areas for specific questions. This is a lot of reading though so I'm not sure if this will work for you (no offense meant I just don't know), I can focus really well on what I read and I'm really fast.
