Help deciding between NYU Tandon, University at Buffalo and Rochester Institute of Technology

I’m planning on majoring in Computer Science at each school and although I know my personal pros and cons between each school (money or distance) I was wondering if I can get some insight from those who’ve been to the school and get their personal likes and dislikes.
I’m definitely on the edge on whether I should keep NYU as an option because I would not be able to board seeing as how I live 40 min away and it would be too expensive if I did board there.

Are Buffalo and RIT affordable?
Have you been able to visit?

Both Buffalo and RIT are affordable for me because of scholarships. I was able to visit Buffalo but not RIT (but I did take a look at their campus online)

Can you try and visit RIT?
RIT has a strong co-op system: is that something you’re interested in?

I was really turned off by looking at RIT online, but I visited and really liked what I saw, I’ll be a freshman there next year. If you are able to visit I think you should, I got a really good vibe from the people presenting to my major and from the things happening on the campus as a whole.

I’m definitely interested in the co-op system. I’ll see if I can try to visit but I liked what I saw online. Thanks for all the help!

My friend is also planning to attend their next year so hopefully I can get some insight from her visit too. May I ask what major your seeking? Thanks for all the advice!
