Hey guys. After being rejected from nearly every UC i applied to, these are my only two options left. My fault for not applying to more safety schools. Anyways, I've been accepted to the economics major at both, but plan on taking medicine pre-reqs as well in order to hopefully attend med school for gaduate school. I've already visited Riverside, and while the campus was up to a UC's standards, I did not enjoy the surrounding area at all. I'm leaning toward Santa Clara, and have also received a nice financial aid package from them. However, I was wondering what school would in the long run offer me a better education as well as college experience? I much prefer SCU's campus, but I guess i'm not at liberty to pursue the "scenic route" any more.

I don’t think either schools give an edge over the other, so I think going with SCU is fine. You much prefer it anyway. Why not enjoy your school experience while getting a good education? Don’t just pick a school and be unhappy with it in my opinion.

I read [Santa Clara University - College of Arts and Sciences - Pre-Health -Medical School Admission Triad](http://www.scu.edu/cas/prehealth/medicalschooladmissionstriad.cfm) and it sounds good to me. You could do your own research too and compare where their student graduates went to for medical school.

In addition, I think being ranked #2 for a regional university is good and it is definitely more selective when compared to UCR. :)

Keep in mind, medical school will be expensive (could be 60k per year or whatnot). State schools can help minimize that cost.

Good luck!
