HELP! Does my computer have a virus?

So I was doing research for a school project and clicked on this one website after doing a Google Search. Immediately, I was taken to a page that said "Warning this site may contain Malware!" There were a few buttons underneath, but I did not click on any of them. I immediately closed the application (safari) and deleted all my history and cookies. I run a Mac, by the way, without Norton or any security software.

Could my computer have a virus now?

Facepalm

No… Google does that for you to prevent you from going to malware infested sites. You didn’t actually visit it.

Oh good, cause the site that said about the Malware thing seemed pretty shady so I kinda flipped. Thank you!

P.S. Was the “facepalm” really necessary :)

Haha not really I was being sarcastic without the mal intention

^Did you just … speak Spanish?

Or is “mal” an English word as well?

In french it means bad… so Bad intentions I guess. Sort of like malintent

^It means bad in Spanish too.

It’s a pretty common root. Malignant. Malicious. etc.
