So I just realized that I never sent Columbia my scores... I got on the ACT website, paid for an additional copy of my ACT score, and sent it to them.

Now I'm just nervous that it'll take ACT a few weeks to send them, like the SAT does. The Columbia regular decision deadline is Jan. 1, so I'm just freaking out that they won't receive my ACT score on time...

However, it said "E" for Electronic underneath my score report on the ACT website, and it wouldn't let me pay for priority shipment... Does that mean that Columbia automatically receives my scores electronically? Or will it take ACT a few weeks to process everything?

ACT does not have priority delivery for colleges that have electronic delivery because the speed of getting them there would be the same. Electronic delivery for Columbia (and others) means that Columbia has an on-line account with ACT. ACT “sends” the scores to Columbia by loading them into that on-line account; Columbia “receives” them whenever it bothers to go into that account and download scores. Whole process can take anywhere from a few days to a week or more.

Now for the real issue: Columbia (and others) accepts scores even if they arrive after the deadline date; in fact, Columbia (and many others) will even take January SAT test scores which won’t come out until February, so you will not be late if you have ordered them sent.
