<p>My daughter was accepted to one of her top choice schools UMICH...and we paid the enrollment deposit. However, she was just offered full tuition at OSU which is really hard to turn down. However, we visited OSU before this and though she liked it and the programs, she wasn't thrilled with the surrounding area, so we took it off her list. And though money is not an issue....FULL TUITION is hard to turn down. Is the alumni and the reputation of UMich worth the tuition?? I already paid the deposit, I don't know how to reconcile this in my own mind. I want her to go to the college she wants it is four years, but...</p>
<p>If the money really isn’t an issue, let her go where she wants.</p>
<p>As for the deposit, UMich’s deposit is nonrefundable, so if she decides not to go there, you’d have to contact the admissions office to let them know she no longer intends to go, and you won’t get your money back.</p>
