i haven’t been on cc for a while so i was catching up on my reading and i read that some deferred people have had luck contacting their regional rep to find out why

i want to email my rep and find out why i was deferred, but what should i say in the email? should i just ask point blank why i was deferred? or should i go about it in a more subtle way?

i know, i could've done better....but if you need to stress this much over it, no college is worth it. not even penn GASP

My subject line was:
Thanks for all the hard work Miss Guzman

and i got stellar results! I started by thanking her for all of the hard work she did on the crazy number of ED apps and then outright asked her why I was deferred, let me know how your phonecalls/emails go!

CMH - First I'd try calling admissions directly and asking to speak with the rep. If you don't hear back within a couple of days, then I would email and say you are interested in discussing and gaining insight into your deferral. You can ask for a time when it would be convenient for you to call, or give times when it would be fine for them to call you( and leave a number). I really think I'd try to leave the impression that you'd like to talk on the phone - more personal than an email.

Xtrasweet - If you don't hear back after a couple of days , I'd email, and try to set up an appointment to talk on the phone.
