I go to a highly regarded college but I just don’t really like it. I’ve looked at my transfer options but I have also thought about online degrees - not the for profit ones, but a bachelors degree in Psychology from UMass, UPenn, or Northeastern. I would love to get a head start on my career, working online while getting experience at a relevant job or internship. I intend to go to a normal brick and motor graduate school after this to get my PsyD or PhD. However, I feel like the targeted audience for these online universities is an older crowd already in the work force, I’m only 17. Does anyone have any experience or advice regarding doing an online program? Could I still have some of a social life, and if so, how? I would probably get a studio or live with roommates in Berkeley or Santa Cruz while I studied and worked, I would rather not stay in my hometown, although I could continue to live in my current college town.
Thank you so much for your time!!
