So, I was filling out the FAFSA last night with my dad. I realized that he had not filled out his tax forms and cannot for some time (sorry, I'm really bad with all this financial stuff). That means I will miss the FAFSA deadline at JHU. Should I estimate? Or is that an absolute deadline? My CSS has already been sent. And can somebody tell me which tax forms need to be sent and how?
Thanks

FAFSA should be estimated and then revised when 2005 tax returns are completed. Submitting forms late can affect the financial aid package offered.

Use 2004 taxes and estimate as best you can. Don't forget to submit the W-2's as well. Feb. 1 is the deadline. If you have a difficulty in meeting that deadline, I would suggest that you contact the Fin. Aid Office at JHU first thing Monday morning. They were very helpful when I spoke with them last week.

Financial Aid offices realize that not all tax forms have been received in order to file 2005 taxes. As soon as you complete 2005 taxes then submit those to JHU.

^so when you spoke with them, they suggested some leniency in the tax form deadline?

Read this post on the JHU messageboards - should explain better...
