To help, people will need to know some of your stats. For example, what’s your best SAT/ACT score? Unweighted GPA? What’s the financial situation? Also, is there any area you’re particularly interested in studying?
Otherwise, we can’t give any realistic ideas of colleges to look at.
I have a 32 (33 superscore) on the ACT. My unweighted GPA is around 3.8 (4.4 out of 5 weighted). Financial situation is decent, but I can receive a good amount of help so not too worried in that area. I am intrested in studying either economics, environmental science, or public health. I have looked at colleges such as Boston College, Boston University, Notre Dame, UPitt, NYU.
For matches/safeties, there’s the College of New Jersey, Rutgers (NJ), Loyola University (MD), and Fordham University (NY). Additionally, UMD-College Park or UMBC would be excellent options, particularly if you’re in-state for Maryland.
University of Scranton (PA)'s on the smaller side, but it’s an excellent school. If you live in New York, you should also look into the SUNY or CUNY system.
If you wanted to add another reach to your list, Johns Hopkins also might be worth a look. Lastly, if you decide to look at a school slightly geared more towards STEM (But still with excellent humanities options) Case Western Reserve in Cleveland could be a good reach.
It’s a bit of a long list, but I hope this helps!
Does that mean that you can afford $300,000?
TerrisADAstra that was a lot of help thanks!
Eeyore123, maybe? I mean which college’s tuition is 300 grand? I’m not rich, but I’m not poor
With no financial aid, NYU would cost $300k for 4 years.
I would recommend NYU if your finance allows.
You will want to work with your parents on running the net price calculators on each school’s website as part of evaluating schools.
