Help For Possible Transfer Schools

<p>I posted this in college search and selection but hopefully more people see it here...</p>

<p>A friend of mine...</p>

<p>White Female
1290 out of 1600
3.3ish GPA in high school</p>

<p>will be attending UMass-Amherst in the fall.</p>

<p>Assuming she attains a 3.5+GPA freshman year at the school of engineering, what are some good match schools that fit the following description.</p>

<p>Any other advice as to what would make her the best possible candidate would be appreciated as well.</p>

<p>-LAC
-In the Northeast or the Mid-Atlantic
-Will give good financial aid (I know this is tough for transfers, but is anyone generous?)
-small, community feel
-D3 sports would be a plus (women's lax, soccer)</p>

<p>Bucknell! 50% transfer rate and a good LAC environment. That gets my vote.</p>

<p>id say smith and maybe even vassar would be a match, just do above a 3.5 :)</p>

<p>vassar has a 20% transfer rate...she may want to get some safeties as well and Bucknell would definitely be one. Wesleyan is never really a safety, but it has about a 40% transfer rate.</p>
