I think I am getting a C in calculus, but I have an A in all my other classes.... even though there is still 2 accounting classes and a bunch of general ed classes to go, is it possible for Marshall to accept me with a C in calculus? I read on another thread by that really annoying poster who won't go away that a C in calc for Marshall is unacceptable...

I also heard by a friend who got into USC film school that you can just transfer into USC, into, say, CLAS, and then transfer into Marshall afterwards. Is that possible?

Drop it with a W and get an A next time or just retake it.

This might be some good advice. You may have to bite the bullet and drop the class if you're serious about getting into Marshall. Keep in mind that if you get a C, you can't re-take the class. Also, if you drop it too late and get an F, USC will still incorporate that F into the GPA that you are applying with, and later into your USC GPA. If the deadline to drop with a W is approaching, then you have some thinking to do - quickly.

They won't mind if I dropped calc I with a W and took Business Calculus instead, right?

And its okay if I have 1 W as long as my grades are good, correct? Because every counselor or student I ask says that its okay if you have 1 W and wanna transfer into USC... they all tell me not to make it a habit.

But back to my question... will it be a big deal to USC admissions if I dropped calc with a W and took Biz Calc the next semester? As long as I get at least a B in Biz Calc, I should be all right... right? lol

I need all the advice I could get; I would really appreciate it...

You should retake Calc I, business calc from a CC is way too easy, it would be acceptable from a lower UC, but from a community college you need a 4.0 in Calc I or the admissions officers won't be impressed at all.
