Other:

Downward trend. ): I had an incredibly rough year last year, unfortunately. I am planning on making this up through my midyear reports. If they don't reject me before then, that is.

You failed to mention what schools you would like to be chanced for.

Oh right.

Bowdoin College

Brown University

Carnegie Mellon University

Claremont McKenna College

Columbia University

Emory University

Hendrix College

New York University

Rice University

Swarthmore College

University of Chicago

University of Southern California

Vanderbilt University

Wellesley College

I feel that you have a good shot at all of those universities. Columbia is a reach, though, considering that it’s an IVY league school… You seem to have decent EC’s as well. This will definitely help you in the process. A bit more leadership would have helped, however. Overall, you are a competetive applicant for the schools you listed. Chance me back please?

Thanks! I chanced you back.

Colombia and brown look like the only reaches

“Colombia and brown look like the only reaches”

not true
Columbia, Chicago, Swarthmore and Brown are reach colleges for almost everybody.

OP
decent chances at other colleges on your list.

good luck to you.

Thanks! Any more chancers?

I would say the ivies, Chicago and Swat are highly unlikely. A bad junior year, unfortunately, will take unhooked candidates out of the running at top schools.

Realist reaches: those at the Bowdoin, USC, Rice, Vandy level.

Hendrix is your only safety. NYU and Welleley good shot.

Brown University - Reach

Carnegie Mellon University - High match

Columbia University - Reach

Emory University - High match/match

New York University - match

Rice University - Match

Swarthmore College - Reach

University of Chicago - Reach

University of Southern California -High Match

Not sure about other schools.
Chance me?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1246572-chance-me.html

^ I Think USC and CMU are just plain matches, her scores are off the charts, and her EC’s are very diverse.

I think by high match, s/he meant low match. I think the terminology can be really confusing. High/low reach makes sense, but used the same way, high/low match doesn’t.

Bump. I’m still chancing people back.

wow, your stats are amazing!
i’d say that brown, columbia, swarthmore, uchicago, and wellesley are reaches because frankly, they’re reaches for most people. it really all depends on how your write your essays at this point but other than that, i think you’re good!

Thanks! Bumping the thread now.
