Hi, long story short I was not paying attention to this stuff anymore and I realized that I had completely forgotten about financial aid business. My parents have not yet finished their 2011 tax returns, and won't for a while. Harvard is asking for the IDOC...should I just fax the 2010 tax returns to the office now since it's still March 1st? What's the latest I can submit this IDOC thing?

Your parents might have to speed up the process! You need to ask Harvard this question pronto.

I am also wondering this. My parents are just sending it tomorrow, so I am hoping that it does not hurt my financial aid offer.

No, you cannot use 2010 information.

If you are smart enough to get into Harvard, you should be smart enough to be on top of what is required to afford Harvard. Sorry to sound harsh, but, Really? 2010 info is not going to help Harvard figure out your possible FA. They need 2011 info.

You know, teachandmom, my son went to Harvard. It doesn’t mean he knows everything and, in fact, he is a bit of an absent minded professor type. I warned him that for the rest of his life, anytime he makes a foolish mistake or doesn’t know an answer, people like you are going to feel compelled to make a smart remark. I suppose safiresafire might as well get used to it, too.
