Help!!!!! He drank it..

Ok, I am so ****ed off right now. We started a week long can implosion lab today in Physics that involves using Mountain Dew.
The lab is a preliminary, and is worth 15% of our semester grade.
I got paired up with the class idiot. The teacher was giving us directions, and specifically told us NOT to drink the mountain dew.
As soon as we got back into the lab, my partner opened the can and got ready to have a sip. It kind of went like this:
Me: Uh, you can't drink that.
Him: Um, I can do what ever I like.
Me: Do you WANT to get a zero?
Him: No
Me: Then don't drink it you fricken idiot
Him: I can do whatever I like! SEE?!?!?!?!?!? (proceeds to chug half the can, completely ruining our experiment)
I got mad and the teacher found out what happened. He said that we both get a zero on the lab, and that we owed him an apology for not listening.

Problem is: I have a 4.0. Now, the best I can do in the class is 85%. Good bye 4.0.

I went to talk to him after school, and explained the situation better. He said that I could have refrained him from drinking it, and that you're a part of the problem if you're not solving it.

I almost punched him. No lie.

What do I do?!?!? Is this like, not fair?!?!?!?!?

you should have snatched it out of his hands..lol

talk to the teacher?

Did I not say that I already talked to the teacher? lol

The teacher is a complete robot and has no sympathy whatsoever. He was firm when he said that we both get zeros. He was very angry with me for "allowing" my partner to drink it.

So I guess I already tried that. But I CAN'T get an 85 in the class. No way. This isn't even my fault.

talk to the principal, then the school board.

what are they going to do about it?
it sucks, but sometimes life isnt fair. I would recommend that you talk to your teacher about perhaps a research project that you could do for extra credit. Or making up the lab on your own for half credit (better than a 0, right?).

Just keep going up the list. You can't be punished for that.

Sock the other kid in the face.

Get your parents to complain. You're just a stupid teenager if you complain alone, but if you get your parents involved, then suddenly the problem is taken more seriously :)

Don't listen to tjan by any means. Talk to the principal. If something isn't right, something will be done. I've gone to the principal about something similar and he righted the situation.

I'd go straight to Administration.

Say you listened and tried to solve the problems. There is no reason to get in a physical altercation. If your teacher expects that of you, then maybe he's not teacher material? Argue your case, you'll win.

it's surely against school rules to physically restrain someone, so it wasn't your fault. get your parents to talk to the teacher. if he won't bend, get your parents to talk to the department head/principal/anyone with common sense.

LOL when I first read your nickname and then the topic, I thought that somebody actually drank shampoo. lolololol.

I'd talk straight to the principal. I won't trust any other teacher b/c they would probably be biased.

stop being so uptight and go with the flow...

Anyone who has had to do partner/group projects with idiots knows what the OP is talking about. My school has this idea "Well you have to learn how to make everyone do their work in your group. If one person doesn't do their job, the group should fail the project." How about we tell the principal that unless every student in the county passes every class all of the principals get fired? It is a group project...

I just get so upset about these kind of things. A lot of people are like "don't worry about it" but it is the principle that you should not be hurt because of the failings of others.

for sure talk to the principal

This is funny as hell. You should have filled it up with water or something and tried to salvage. Or something a little more Mountain Dew colored... LOL

Who cares? Mountain Dew is good. Maybe if your teacher was smart she wouldn't pick something so delicious for a class experiment. Somebody dial whine-1-1

And if its week long lab, go to the grocery store between day 1 and day 2 - or go to Sams Club/costco if your partner is really thirsty.

Uhg. I hate teachers like that.

I'd say instead of going straight to the admins, go to your parents and have them call. That's pretty much the only way to get a point across here. Mommy or daddy come and yell and the teachers/admin listen.

get ur parents in it and make them talk to the principle
